Our wedding photographer shoots only RAW wedding photographs. RAW photographs are not processed at all in the camera, so the final image needs processing in our editing suite. We do this because we can, with some effort produce the very best wedding photographs possible. This does mean we work a bit harder after the wedding
To begin, we produce a set of perfectly colour matched balanced colour wedding photographs. With our basic processing we are looking at colour, tonal range etc.
Next we select the wedding photographs that will be processed into black and white, and those that will be processed and stylised further
Processing a photograph into black and white is a fine art in itself. While there is a “black and white button”, we always manually process the wedding photographs to make sure the image has a great impact, and tonal range. We use professional grade printers, getting the conversion done properly makes the difference between a stunning print and a lack-lustre print
We spend a lot of time doing split tones. These look simply stunning when printed and mounted. A split tone starts as a black and white wedding photograph, we then add 2 colours to it – one for the highlights and another for the shadows. Choosing the best colours, adds even more impact to what is already a superb black and white image. Our Dreams and Impressions range of wedding photographs are often evolutions of a split tones
We spend days and weeks processing your wedding photography; it is a long job that needs a meticulous touch. The final results are absolutely worth it though
