The Sanctum Workshop set appears to preview a brand new suit for Spider-man in the upcoming movie but that is only the tip of the iceberg. Much like the media-friendly suit Peter Parker recently wore when he was live-streaming his crime-fighting activities, this costume identifies Ben Reilly’s Spider-Man as a brand meant to be marketed as much as a hero. Understandably, Peter is horrified, and does his best to rip the costume from his body. While the trailer for December’s release is still being elusive, fans will take anything they can at the moment, and outside the trailer, this is about the best thing they are going to get. Despite all that, Ben Reilly’s new employers aren’t fans of the suit. It seems that while Spider-Man fans have has all eyes on news of a Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, a new costume for Tom Holland’s web-slinger has slipped out under the radar as part of the reveal of a new range of Lego sets that confirm some other longstanding rumors about the upcoming third solo outing for Spider-Man within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Finally, a series of action figures from Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line shows off Spider-Man in his new suit, alongside a sleek black version. A direct reference to a key comic book storyline, the suit was created when Peter’s Spider-Man costume bonded with an alien Symbiote that granted him heightened powers, but not without a price. WARNING: The following contains spoilers for “Test-Drive” in Free Comic Book Day: Spider-Man/Venom, available now from Marvel. Nolan North, who voices Nathan Drake in the Uncharted games, will narrate the audio book version of Sony’s new film. This came as part of a promotion for the film as a nominee for two Visual Effects Society Awards, which were for Outstanding Visual Effects and Oustanding Compositing & Lighting. These two actors hadn’t donned their famous spandex for years. Though all the three actors played the same superhero, Tobey, Andrew and Tom have their own distinct Spider-Man suits that set them apart from each other. This makes it one of the most durable Spider-Man suits in the Marvel Universe, and it gives Ben the option to use more close-quarters melee-style combat, like the kind he does Bushwacker down with here. The suit itself is also giving of a very specific kind of Wakandan vibe, similar to that of Black Panther, and also has a little in common with the quantum suits worn by the time-travelling group in Endgame, suggesting that the upgrade could be coming via a number of sources into Peter’s hands.
In what could be some kind of portal can be seen a spider and a scorpion, and on the reverse of the box is Spider-Man riding a blue bike. As the answer to that question took years to be definitively answered, Ben fought crime as the Scarlet Spider and briefly replaced Peter Parker as Spider-Man. While a Beyond Corporation representative dismisses the Scarlet Spider suit as something that looks as if it were created by a teenager “with too much birthday money,” Ben’s new suit explicitly references the oversized spider-logo that adorned the center of Ben’s first Spider-Man costume with a smaller spider-logo over his heart. The “mystic spider web effects” give a very intricate look at the new tech being sported by Spidey, which is clearly in line with the magic of Doctor Strange. Even though the entirety of his early adventures took place during the much-maligned “Clone Saga,” the Scarlet Spider still evolved into a fan-favorite character, thanks in no small part to his endearing look. As the Scarlet Spider, Ben Reilly has one of the most distinctive costumes in the Spider-Verse. For the moment, Ben Reilly just seems happy to be back in action, and he happily agrees to officially join the Beyond Corporation.
This marks his growth throughout Spider-Man: Homecoming, as evidenced by him passing on Tony’s offer to join the Avengers. It remains unclear how the coronavirus closure will impact the announced opening date for the Avengers Campus themed land. Despite push back, rumors continue to persist that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will also make an appearance as their separate iterations of Spider-Man, assisting Holland on this convoluted adventure. If the rumor of an all-encompassing multiverse adventure featuring past Spider-Men Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire as well as villains from those contained universes, then why couldn’t some more recent foes be back to try and take down Spidey once and for all. While we have had LEGO and Funko looks at the newest Spidey costumes from Spider-Man: No Way Home, the daddy of detailed toys, Hot Toys, have now given us a look at Peter Parker’s new and improved black and gold suit from the upcoming movie, and the images could have been taken direct from the movie itself. Unlike the other outfits, Holland’s Peter Parker built his suit for crime fighting and to fine-tune his overbearing Spidey senses through the moving lenses.
